About Us
Our Story
Driftwood Farm is a 65-acre, Gobert family-owned and organically run farm in Iowa, Louisiana. Our goal is to build a diversified farm producing meats, eggs, and vegetables. We believe that small farms outperform larger farms in terms of production, environmental care, and care of the soil through greater crop and animal diversity. We share our products with friends and family on our farm.
The Gobert family has farmed in Louisiana since the mid 1700’s. I returned to Louisiana in 2020 to begin my leadership of the farm in Iowa, LA. The decision to return home was an easy one for me. Farming has always been a passion for me. The last 10 years of my career away from the farm were spent teaching small-scale farming at a local college in Atlanta, GA. I am also a graduate of the Southern University Small Farmer Agriculture Leadership Institute.
We are excited about selling some of our products in Lake Charles and the surrounding area. If you are interested in eating locally for a fresher taste and more nutrient-rich food, come and see us. We would love to have you as one of our farm partners.
